| Mission Statement | BEST Coalition Partner Organizations | What has BEST accomplished?
BEST's efforts on the Educational Technology Bond Bill in 1994-96 brought $30M to the schools ($30 per student), leveraging approximately $90M more in matching funds and NetDay contributions. BEST also was successful in advocating for $15M for technology training for teachers in 1998.
Best supported technology in schools by building and sustaining a broad coalition of all the major stakeholders with strong grassroots support, mounting the first lobbying effort by e-mail in the Commonwealth.
In 1999-2000, BEST advocated for another $35M in funding for schools through the Capital Needs Investment Trust Fund, which was passed in July 2000, but then was never funded due to the economic downturn.
